Out of all the cities in the USA, out of all the cities in the world, Cincinnati was chosen to host the 2012 World Choir Games. Almost 50 photographers, from amateurs to aspiring professionals and professionals, volunteered to photograph this historic event.  Of those 50 photographers, only a select few were permitted to photograph the opening and closing and award ceremonies at US Bank Arena.  Out of the thousands of photographs taken and posted on Capture Cincinnati, one photograph was deemed as best at "capturing the 11 day experience,'  and it will be used for a very special World Choir Games project. So as not to spoil the surprise, I will share that with you at a later date. In the meantime, peruse the Capture Cincinnati site and view all the wonderful images captures of a wonderful event.

Yesterday evening I photographed the dress rehearsal of Highlands High School production of Guys and Dolls, which opens tomorrow night.  Below is Adelaide and the Hot Box Girls. It's a show you should not miss this weekend.

Tonight is the opening night of Godspell at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy.  As I confessed to the director, Susan Jung, when I heard they were doing this production, I never was a big fan of Godspell, having never seen a high school, community theatre, or professional performance that I liked.  After shooting this dress rehearsal on Wednesday night, that has changed.  This is the finest interpretation of the show that I have ever seen.  Susan had a vision for this show and the young actors brought that vision to life. I'm a visual guy, not a writer, so don't depend on me to describe that vision for you.  Suffice it to say: Go see it!
